Back Pain Relief Naturally - An Example of Gentle Self Adjustment

A misalignment of the collarbone is a common occurrence. Like most joints, it can become slightly misaligned and then naturally realign itself quite often as you go about your day. In fact, for most people this can and does happen in various joints several time a day. Because of this, a misalignment of the collar bone often goes unnoticed.

However, it can become very uncomfortable or even painful if it gets stuck out of alignment. Some people learn to live with the discomfort, others seek help from their doctor, a chiropractor, osteopath or a massage therapist. This is no longer necessary.

Now, there is a gentle method of doing adjustments on the back, neck, hips and ribs that you can do on yourself. The technique for adjusting the collar bone is extremely easy to do, and the method is so gentle that you really can't do the wrong thing. Nothing at all is likely to happen if the technique is applied to a collar bone that is already aligned, or if it is done incorrectly.

To do the adjustment, you first need to locate the collarbone and where it might be out of alignment. The bone extends from just to the side of the hollow of the throat to the shoulder. It is very obvious on most people.

Next, find the area that is sore either above or below where the collar bone attaches. This is where you are going to press. It only takes about four ounces of pressure.

If the joint is sore on the top, use the opposite hand to reach across and press down on that area of the bone while you rotate the other arm down, back, up, forward and back down.

If the sore area is below the bone, then press up on the bone while you rotate the arm down, forward, up, back and down again.

That's all there is to it, a simple movement with pressure on the area that needs the adjustment. Many such adjustments are available, chiropractors teach them to some of their clients, and books can be found.
